The Kim clip fits the song theme of trying to find love at that level of notiriety and fame perfectly. And its literally mirroring Drakes main theme and content (so far gone) as she says "I ain't come this far just to come this far".

The Ye angle is intended but secondary. Looking at the song in vaccum what Kim said just underlines what Drake is trying to express with this song.
