Kendrick would out sell Drake
I think it depends on the direction Kendrick takes. He not outselling Drake with another Mr. Morale.

Nah but if the album has Not Like us on it those all count as first week sales. Huge head start since it’s already 3x platinum bots or not

It ain't gonna matter the direction I promise you

I forgot he could do that

Don’t get me wrong I think it would be close and Lucien is definitely not letting Drake fail but a surprise drop would have to get streamed like crazy to catch up to a planned album by Kendrick. If he adds all disses to it those all would count as well and botted or not his disses have a lot more streams then family matters

Any previous streams/sales don’t add onto first week sales. It just gets added to the total afterwards

I think people really want to push the "elimination of Drake" narrative so they are going to try their best to stream Kenny so they can't be wrong. Even if Drake does 350k first week and Kenny does 500k the elimination of Drake isn't happening.
The Heart part 6 beat reminds me of the Hate Sleeping Alone beat
I hear the similarities. The drums are a little different. But they both have this sound in the background that I can't properly describe.

I honestly think people will be surprised what numbers Drake does first week tho. The reality of Twitter, Reddit, and other social media platforms not being real places will hit them hard.

I think they do, like as soon as the album comes out all of those streams count towards the album. On Spotify for artist it will show the total number as soon as albums released

All of the streams count towards the total/certifications, but aren’t included in first week totals of the album. @thegreatdivine could prolly explain better than I could

Counts towards billboard charting tho

It doesn’t tho. If it did, Scorpion would’ve sold 1m first week. It is just added into the total units afterwards. First week sales would be what the album has accumulated only in the week the album dropped

If he adds all the disses to his forthcoming album, they wouldn't count towards his first week numbers.
They'd just count towards his total units when it comes to certifications. The only streams that'd count towards the first week would be the streams every song on the album pulls on that very week.

Yeah, you're correct. The streams from singles released before an album only count towards certifications and in the case of Spotify, towards the total stream count of the album.

I think you’re right, it says here they used to count for first week but they’ve changed it now

It's still a benefit for an artist to release a double album, right? I know that was a thing some artists were doing to manipulate the charts.
So here's a breakdown: If all the Kendrick diss tracks have a total of 1.5B streams on Spotify right now and they add all the songs to the album, the album would have 1.5B streams to start. Any other songs that get added would have their streams start counting from the day the album dropped. As for all the streams the diss tracks have garnered in the US, they'll all count towards the album's total units in the RIAA (so for instance, if Not Like Us moves 3M units and euphoria moves 1M units in the US at the point he drops the album), the album would have moved 400k units already (but that won't count towards the first week numbers, only when the time comes to certify the album with the RIAA).

I think the RIAA rule is that if the album has a runtime of over 100 minutes, it counts double. So, if the album moves 500k units, it'll count as 1M units.

I see! Thank you!
