ICEMAN40It hasn’t even been a full year since drakes last studio album. That’s what’s crazy to me. Bro thought he was taking a break after tour and he should’ve just kept that to himself tbh.
They set this up right at the “beginning” of when he was supposed to take some time to himself. If he didn’t respond, it would’ve looked worse on him tbh.
Midrick and the hoevengers had the best timing imo, good execution by them, right at the tail end of an exhausting tour and when he had already dropped an album with all his s***.
I don't think it would have looked back if he hadn't respond, looking back he coulda said 6 months after fps? now wait 6 months and it would been that
I think he rushed into it thinking he had a kill shot with the domestic abuse thing

AsapslapdiccThe incentive would be dropping big d on the rap messiah's head and showing the world he's best with the pen. Him getting at Kendrick and coming out on top would be a huge legacy play solidifying him as the generational goat, undisputably.
Sure, but that window passed after MTG dropped. In my opinion, drake 100% out rapped Kendrick. But he got outmaneuvered and that’s ultimately how we ended up here. But it hasn’t affected any of drakes actual numbers. So at this point I could see him saying f*** it I’m Teflon lol.

His rebuttals and flips throughout the beef were truly URL level bars. The A minor flip was crazy and the Michael Jackson/Prince flip on FM was the best bar of the beef imo. HP6 is extremely underrated
