If Drake was accused of botting you know how many threads would be on this about it right now? πππππππ
The YouTube numbers for Kendrick's diss tracks were definitely botted (as were the likes on those songs), especially in the first few days following their releases. That much is clear. No other Kendrick songs or music videos ever got that much YouTube activity upon release. Not even back in the DAMN. era, when YouTube was still very strong for US acts and he dropped the videos off that album.
As for Spotify, Not Like Us being pushed relentlessly by their algorithm and by autoplay is a proven fact. It's also a fact that you can opt in via your label to get your song pushed by their autoplay algorithm, a service they usually run for the first few weeks following a song's release. Not Like Us will play for you regardless of what song you play before it and it's included in multiple playlists it has no business being in. Multiple people have reported this.
Also, Drake's diss tracks being heavily disliked on YouTube was also being done by bots and by people who wanna blindly hate. I've always believed that.
I will say that the numbers Not Like Us pulled on Apple Music are legit because Apple Music has a very strict policy regarding bots and they don't run that autoplay s***. That's why the song never broke any streaming records on Apple Music.
I think it's clear to everyone that Not Like Us is a legit hit. It's numbers just got boosted in the days/weeks following its release on multiple streaming platforms to make it seem like a much bigger phenomenon before it actually was. It's the same logic behind why a few days after the song dropped, niggas were recording the song being played at clubs to force a narrative that niggas were feeling it like that. It eventually caught on, but there was a clear push to establish it as an instant smash so Kendrick could seal his victory in the beef.
At the end of the day, it's whatever. I'm over the beef at this point and I'm ready for real music now.
Itβs not even worth explaining. If they can believe that Bot Like Us broke every single record possible on Spotify and not a single one on apple music or any other platform.. they are too far gone already. They believe whatever works in Kendricks favor lmao. People who know how this goes.. knows. Unfortunately the general public are sheep.

Yeah, but it's safer to wait until tomorrow is over

apple music doesn't reveal what records are broken like that, they dont even have their streaming numbers public
and not like us is still number 1 on the apple charts lol
I really hope that the next drake project doesnβt anddress any of the beef or related topics but I know it will.

On YouTube and Spotify they couldn't authenticate the numbers on NLU/MTG for the first 5or so days which is why on YouTube they weren't in music trending at first just trending. If you went to kworb to look at Kendricks Spotify back end it wouldn't list the daily streams for NLU/MTG just the total streams. Meanwhile Family Matters was in music trending and had its daily/total streams listed since the day it dropped. π€
