Stop assuming s***I don't care if you were a Drake fan before he was conceived. People like you only see value in Drake when he's making smash hits and putting up monster numbers and you only care about him doing that so you can use his success to put other artists down.
The point is that Drake doesn't have to do anything else to prove himself to anyone. His legacy is already cemented. We're much closer to the end of his career than the beginning of it so you might as well enjoy the ride for however much longer it lasts.

Also, why is that an expectation you only have for Drake? It's dozens of Drake songs from 2009-now that were never smash or chart hits. For every hit record he dropped, there were 3 more songs that didn't hit.
Another thing to consider is that we're simply in a different time now. There was a time when the #1 song in the US felt like that. That's not the same now. A song can be #1 for 20 weeks and hundreds of millions of Americans won't know about that song because they're in their little clusters listening to other songs that they f*** with instead.

I'm not even suggesting niggas have to like everything Drake drops. I think Sideways and Healing are cool but I won't be playing them much after my first few listens. All I'm saying is that y'all need to stop with this narrative that Drake needs to make a hit or he needs to do monster numbers to prove anything to anybody. It doesn't take much to see that rap is nothing without this man. The obsession alone proves it.
The fact is that many of you have allowed this beef to deteriorate your brains the same way it's f***ed up the brains of many Kendrick fans.
