my point was that maybe theres a reason a lot of these people are falling out with Drake, and we cant just keep going "its because its cool to hate Drake", at some point you have to reflect as a fan and go "huh, maybe, just maybe, hes doing some not so nice stuff behind the scenes"

I believe Drake has done and said f***ed up stuff behind the scenes I also believe it was more than likely a response. Drake has been repeatedly stated to be super giving and generous when it comes to the music business over the past decade or so.

I do agree that Drake's music has not matured and FATD will probably be my least favorite album of his. I just think people mature differently, for better or worse, and I don't think it's that big of deal. I don't like the "he's been famous since 15" excuse.

I agree there is some reason.
I agree that reason could put Drake in a bad light.
The idea that it can't be I'm tired of Drakes literally unprecedented run in music is weird to me. Because that would make it cool to hate Drake in music. For labels and rappers not named UMG which people keep forgetting is a partner deal Drake does not need to be cool with any individual label at this point.

for sure it can be, i mean for metro maybe it is, for kendrick maybe it even is, maybe kendrick just genuinely doesnt vibe with drake and his lifestyle, all of which is okay and fair but we cant just immediately assign "oh hes jealous of drake" to each and every person who has a fallout with him

literally one of the most popular lines from the beef (master manipulator) is critical of drakes character and we cant immediately go "lol kendrick is lying"

kendrick also brings up multiple times that people in drakes camp are getting tired of him

i mean the videos of Bron liking NLU shows to at least some extent, that Bron is getting tired of Drake for whatever reason

nah i get where you coming from, and i agree it is a bit weird, but i mean all is fair in beef and its an easy angle to start with ("i hate you and here is why") because for some people it might be relatable and you can build backing on that easier than jumping right into tea
