Totally, but you have full grown adults believing everything they see on Facebook. Imagine what that does to a kids mind. And many more kids paid attention to this beef because of social media.

There are people who believe Drake performed NLU during one of his concerts. Drake's not even touring. I have friends who believe that and they didn't even care about the beef. So imagine someone's Tiktok algorithm being pro Kenny and anti Drake. They might come to the conclusion that Kenny can do now wrong.

The narrative that most of these social media platforms push is that Drake is the bad guy and Kendrick is the good guy. On young minds they only see it as black and white when there is way more nuance to it.

To more mature and healthy Kendrick fans they don't look at Kendrick as Jesus. But I think you would be surprised how many people look at him as someone who can do no wrong.

The only way he was gonna get more first week than drizzy was to start a beef and win if k dot stayed in his lane he would grow his fan base but at a slower rate compere to drake putting out songs with different genre every year or so. thx Kendrick for getting this nigga hungry. Eh I don’t think so. Future barely had bars for Drake and had at least from our POV nothing to do with Kendrick in the beef. Even the Kendrick verse on their album wasn’t that strong beef wise and was clearly a response to Drake calling him out first.

He will. Family Matters is the best track and look at the popularity for NLU. It's not that the album is going quality for quality. Its simply a matter of streams / sales. His fans are all pent up with a lot of eagerness to prove it to their savior they will show out for him. Drake's fans aren't as eager b/c we eat pretty much every year. He's always giving us music.

Just drove by Drakes rolls Royce and heard him talking about the release tonight. (Could’ve been anyone’s rolls and my windows are up)

I think everyone is overestimating how many people actually hate Drake and how many are simply using this situation to get social media engagement/clout chase while still listening to more Drake music than Kendrick music. I'm open to being wrong but I don't think Kendrick's music outside of dissing Drake will get as much motion as his diss tracks towards Drake did. People who supported those songs did so mostly as a way to stick it to Drake. Take that element away from Kendrick's music and you're left with people who simply won't care as much.

His next album should definitely debut with bigger numbers than what his last album did, but I definitely don't see it being this huge monster event like y'all are predicting. I don't believe Kendrick has gained a legion of fans from this beef. It's just people on social media chasing clout and s***ting on Drake because that's something social media has always done and because people are tired of seeing him dominate the rap game.

You also can't use the performance of Drake's diss tracks as a way to prove Kendrick's non-diss songs will perform just as well as his diss songs did. Most Drake fans didn't give a f*** about this beef. They've never been the types to push their full support behind diss track. They much prefer supporting his normal songs and they are more prone to do that in this latter half of his career when he presents those songs as a full body of work.

I agree with practically everything you said except I'd add two things

1. Just off a snippet from the NLU video, there is a ton of glazing for that track so that's where I truly understood this album he's going to put out is going to do serious numbers. Just my opinion via observation

2. Regarding the fan base part, you're right I don't believe he's gained this crazy insane amount of fans that's going to let him compete with Drake for the next five years. But what I'm referring to is simply ONE week and in that week, this newfound sleuth of people (a combination of Drake haters + Kendrick fans) probably (90%) will come together to stream the s*** out of his album regardless whether its ass or not.
