obviously i can only speak for me, but I felt like, for the earlier years, Drake was pretty good at keeping it balanced as far as " I'm gonna give you really good rapping( I don't wanna get into the ghostwriting thing, the songs themselves were good) and I'm gonna give you some pop singing stuff." It feels like in the last feel years, he'd rather just do the pop stuff. I don't get the sense he really wants to rap. Guy comes out of this beef and does a collab tape with PND when he could've come back with an album of rapping. Maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way, but my takeaway was " Drake doesn't want to rap"

I mean you're not "right or wrong" imo that's just your impression you got from looking at it which is valid
I think post battle maybe he leaned into the singing more percentage wise but What Did I Miss? is rapping which is probably what boosted his monthly listeners up a little,
We could compare percentages of albums how much is singing how much is rapping but i feel like more or less there has always been a substantial amount of both, with rap taking the backseat in the other cases
but he still tries to do the tough hard beat raps still, to varying success, he can still sound good rapping to this day
