DMX hating on Drake made 0 sense and it had nothing to do with the era he came from. Lots of other rappers are from his era and can appreciate Drake as an artist. Glad he had a change of heart before he died but him hating on Drake was unnecessary, especially when he didn't know Drake personally.

He definitely felt a way about the Aaliyah situation & you, I or anyone else can’t judge him for that because we never had a relationship with her. Just let it rest.

why we talking about Rihanna when we got an indication Drake is gonna potentially be on Drink Champs?

    That's the more important news.

  • Apr 12, 2021

Drake play the game smooth if he were on Drinking Champs. Don't think he would even let himself get tipsy so he can keep a clear head and control of the interview.

which other rapper you know was making songs like marvin’s room at the time i ain’t saying the hate was justified i’m saying it does make sense. drake was someone who was very different to the norm and was new so you can see why dmx wasn’t warm to him at first when drake style was radical compared to before

So essentially DMX hated Drake for being a rapper and doing what almost every 90s/2000s R&B artists were doing

Drake Drink champs never happening btw not getting my hopes up.

there’s a difference between rappers and r&b artists lol. for r&b artists it’s expected for them to be soft lol and drake was someone who presented himself as a rapper and none of his other albums other than views had half singing on it

I mean it's still irrational, but I get it.

Just seems weird how people would be so put off by doing both lmao. But I think his background also had a lot to do with it too.

you gotta look at rap before then drake was a radical change to the scene. it’s expected not everyone to like him and call him soft etc when he was a rapper but he helped basically to cement this singing and rapping s*** after ye wayne and andre paved the way

I'm not judging him. All I'm saying is that his reasons for hating Drake were dumb, as he himself eventually came to realize.

Na I definitely feel you. Drink champs is poppin right now and would be a win win on both ends. Drake doesn’t need to do it but who knows maybe he wants to.

Any platform Drake goes on will benefit that platform way more than it'll benefit Drake lol.

Can't see Drake doing an interview anytime soon anyways but I hope he chooses wisely when he does.

Yeah. NORE likes dirt/drama/gossip and that's something Drake will never willingly leave himself open to. He will remain cool with people like NORE/Joe Budden but that interview will always be beyond their reach until they eventually give up and move on.

How you know you called drake lmao

It wasn't just that. DMX didn't have a real reason for hating Drake. He just did. Maybe the Aaliyah thing added to it but even back when he was asked, he couldn't give a legit reason why he didn't like him and when he had a change of heart years later, he admitted as much.

Most people who don't like Drake can't point to one solid reason why they don't lol.

To be fair anyone he’s beefed with has been because of women
