Instead this tape closes on a very somber note with Polar Opposites. Dark album that’s a bit too long, but still full of good songs nonetheless.

this is how i feel listening to 7969 Santa, Slime You Out, Bahama Promises, Tried Our Best, Drew A Picasso and Members Only all back to back in this tracklist

Generational run

easy to dismiss every "sad" drake song as the same, but the stretch here on fatd gets overlooked for how specifically it reflects the exact flaws in what he felt and went through and it shows that over multiple songs for a good stretch. for each song that heartbreak is broken down differently, showing all the ego-driven, reflective yet still emotionally immature ways he's tryna be in control.

idk if he actually saw or planned it like that but it was cool to get the stretch of tracks, some of the other tracklist placements feel a lil random but ig the album ends with polar opposites for a reason !
