I’ve had this thought for a while now but haven’t said anything. I genuinely believe a lot of the way Drakes recent efforts have been received is because of the mixing/mastering. I’m not sure what happened after Views which happened to be one of the best mixed records of our times but his sound has gotten INSANELY worse since. I wish he’d use someone else now.. I refuse to believe 40 is heavily involved in the recording or mixing process tbh. It sounds like Noel just jumped in and took over but his mixes just don’t hit.
