2009 was almost two decades ago

Dude ! I feel u , I’ve been listening since room for improvement 💀
Middle school days & that mixtape came thru .
because these niggas werent there for old drake
they caugfht on way later
f***ers were talking so much s*** when drake dropped Take care
even NWTS
niggas were crying that he named a track 'Wutang Forever' and he was singing on it
I was there for all of it. I remember all of it
they will do the same for this album
it is what it is
Right?
I remember him saying people wanted 'oLD dRaKE' before his debut album came out w/9am in Dallas
A lot of capping and revisionist history going on so in a way this FATD reaction makes sense because y'all didn't like TC, TML, NWTS when they first dropped either.
It took YEARS before people came around to those projects being classics.
They liars man lol

On the podcast Joe was like "I miss when Drake rapped for the rappers" They all hated him during Take Care era LMAO
Like what era are you talking about bruh
It never existed
In his case his day 1s not being there is not indicative of him not being a good person. When your mission is the masses, proximity becomes less important. He took care of a lot of people around him and that should speak more than people being around
And then things like him being compromised mentally and physically, that I know KTT don't like to acknowledge and that seems consistent for black men in the public space on this, but that's another topic for maybe never lol
I never want to undermine Kanye’s mental health issues so I hope it was not and never is taken that way.
That being said, he’s very clearly pushed people away from his life as of late. Sometimes I feel bad for him, because no one close to him stepped in to help. They just took advantage of his talent and let him slip into the abyss while they reaped the benefits.
Def the most he’s responded to criticism after an album drop I feel like. And I got no problem with it

I'm ngl Kanye weaponizes his mental health and uses it as a get out of jail free card
Normal people that may have mental health problems don't start f***ing with Hitler
Like at a certain point if a person keeps f***ing up people gotta stop giving them chances to redeem themself

EVERY flagship drake album is heavily melodic, and at least 50% R&B - Non Traditional rap.
If you don't like the songs then okay, sure but to act like this isn't in line stylistically with his classic albums is just factually wrong.
He had Good Ones Go, Doing it Wrong, Hate Sleeping Alone, Shot for Me, The Real Hear, all on the same album over 10 years ago. This isn't new lol niggas are liars man

That recent Ebro interview with Nadeska and Low really put it into perspective that alot of these motherfuckers are lying
S*** that they're saying isn't even true

Listen,
He literally said he was going back to OLD DRAKE, people 'got excited'
He did exactly that, and people weren't happy
It just confirms it man. If you were around, you KNOW niggas weren't f***ing with Take Care like that so of course they not gon f*** with FATDs. Like Take Care though, he knows how to give his fanbase exactly what they want so he'll be just fine.

And another funny thing about that is, HIS R&B SONGS ARE AMAZING. IT AINT EVEN LIKE THE TYPE OF MUSIC THAT THEY DONT WANT IS BAD, ITS ACTUALLY INCREDIBLE
I guarantee Kanye will have a meltdown again, it helps his publicity and sales
And he doesn't want to get help for himself lmao so it's no one's fault but his own
Speaking from experience with family, you cannot help people that are like this and it is what it is
There is a reason why Cudi, Push, Drake, Sean and Mike Dean have all had issues with / distanced themselves from him

That’s a good point too. It just goes to show that the mental health discussion is very nuanced and sometimes difficult to navigate..
That’s why I just wanted to get out in front of it because the last thing I want anyone thinking on here is I’m some a****** aiming for low blows against someone with mental health issues.
