Yeah even TC was mid to me the first time I listened to it. Music does get better when you listen to it more. Theres science behind that s***, just the way our brains work

You do gotta listen a few times to things to really take in s***, its easy to dismiss music in general off of one listen. Takes something really special to wow people on first listen imo. Its cool if you don't wanna go back to it but its hard to me to take that as a genuine criticism of the music and more just disinterest, which is fine.
The best album of all time can sound underwhelming the first time hearing it. Our brains only start to release dopamine once we're able to recognize certain stuff and are able to guess whats coming next in a song. Its like knowing the answer to a test

Originally I like a good amount of songs but wasn’t flowing great as an album.
Naturally for an artist I really enjoy I won’t give up on a body of work after a day. I don’t think I’ve ever done that for one of my favourite artists.
E.g. Going back to not liking Yeezus first listens but trusting Kanye as an artist so much it ended up being a personal classic for me as I gave it time 🤷🏾♂️
