    Yes

Real drake fans don’t need to act like every album is good

Real drake fans know he’s getting very lazy and been pushing out mid for a minute

    Still love him tho

Her Loss, the classic which is better than Take Care, out now on all streaming platforms!

    Your missing the whole point

You wanna downplay Drake so bad that you ain’t seeing what I was saying

What I was essentially saying is that people tend to appreciate things more as time goes on and as the artist gets old and isn’t in their faces as much

Sure RD, BP, and TBA are rock solid classics now but RD wasn’t getting perfect scores when it dropped, neither was black album. I think Black album got like a 3.5/5 in XXL if I remember correctly. People are stupid and ungrateful and usually on the wrong side of history in the moment but given time they usually appreciate greatness.

SFG, TC, NWTS, and IYRTITL will all be rock solid classics when it’s said and done. Also the idea that Hov was just dropping Classic after classic in his youth is big cap. RD and BP had 4 albums between them, none of which were classics (you could argue V2 but it would be a reach)

Reasonable Doubt was met with widespread acclaim and got incredible reviews, what are you talking about?

Volume 1 didn’t get perfect scores across the board but it got similar reception to what a Take Care or NWTS got. I feel that is eventually what drakes best records will be seen as qualitatively. To a fringe Jay classic.

The Blueprint was widely considered an instant classic the moment it dropped. The Black Album didn’t get that reception but still it was very positive

TC is drakes biggest claim to a classic and even then a lot of people wouldn’t consider it to be one. If you ask most people what their favorite drake album was, most would probably name a recent one because he’s always been seen as a singles artist and people don’t really remember his albums like that.

People in the end will look back on Drake and be in awe of how many hits he made but realize he never truly made a memorable album

Hov’s first 8 albums only had 3 classics, drake catalog is actually kind of similar as far as consistency even though I think Jay’s best are better. He’s not known for his consistency with albums, it’s other factors that put him up there as one of the best

3 classics is a lot. Most rappers never even get 1 classic. Drake doesn’t have a single classic either.

Also volume 1 was very good and volume 2 was solid also

Drake arguably had 3 classics by his 4th release so he might’ve got there quicker than Hov actually

If you ask most people their what their favorite Drake project is, majority would say TC, NWTS, or IYRT

I’m not tbh, I mean the term is kind of relative but I feel like it’s revisionist to call them classics

Hov did a good job shifting the narrative on those projects but Vol 2 isn’t even great. And I Know What Girls Like can’t be on a classic album lol

They’re essential in their ways and I love vol 1 but they’re not classic classic

I don’t believe people are really listening to those albums front to back today and loving the whole experience

It doesn’t have to be RD level to be classic

If that’s your argument then NWTS can’t be a classic with 305 To My City and Take Care can’t be with Make Me Proud respectfully lol

Drake don’t have an album that doesn’t have skips
