I might have to consider everything after 8am bonus tracks
The album clearly jumps off a cliff at that point tbh with BBL being the first forgettable track and Gently possibly being the worst drake song
Then you get sexy red and then you get the Yachty song
Jesus what a rough and random stretch after a great 17 tracks that felt somewhat cohesive to me. Some of these barely feel like drake songs so having them all together at the end feels almost like bonus
STANDIN ON BIDINESS
One thing we all need to learn to stop doing, is telling artists what we think or feel they should be doing with regards to their art. Any artist who takes the direct advice of their fanbase will never last. As an artist, especially one who is as autobiographical as Drake is, you can only trust yourself and you have to be completely selfish with your vision because it is YOUR vision. There are dozens of Drake songs we would have never gotten if he listened to what critics or fans said he should be doing. We need to learn to take what we're given by artists for what they are and not what we wish they would be.
The hope, always, is that people who take in your art eventually understand your vision but that isn't needed for you to consider it a success. You simply exacting your vision means you've won because that's hard enough for anyone to do. Whatever else comes from that â commercial success, critical acclaim, accolades, will only serve as cherries on top.
There's every chance this album won't perform as well commercially, especially long-term, as Drake albums usually do, because it leans a lot more into his R&B sensitivities than his rap side but that seems to be something Drake fully understood going into this and I can appreciate that.
This album is everything about Drake, good and bad, that makes him who he is as a musician, at 100%, for an entire album. I can't say I'm surprised it's getting such strong reactions from people.
I love the beautiful dissonance of Rich Baby Daddy
Was shocked at how good it turned out lmao.
Only issue is the Sexyy verse or the chorus before the second part, kinda drags a bit.
They did real good though. Fun song.
Nah screw the world is classic. Fits the album perfect. First listen I left my body hearing those drums hit. So weird and trippy for a drake album
Screw the World fits this album just like November 18th fit So Far Gone imo
Sexy red hook so annoying
This Yachty joint ainât it either, so much weaker than most of the album
Yeah tracks 18-23 are bonus/deluxe tracks in my head canon

You do know the best song on the whole album is after those songs right away from home
bro got so many unnecessary features but got keef feature only speaking like 5 words
needed a full verse
I was whippin in the Ac' like that s*** was European

Yeah I was gonna say, it picks back up for the last two tracks
But tracks 18-21 is probably drakeâs worst 4 song run, like this had to be sequenced this way on purpose with all the worst/not fitting collabs coming at once toward the end but then ending on a strong note
That 4 song stretch my only real issue with the album
âFuck, mami, holy s***â
The delivery of this by bad bunny is so cringe
i was geekn at that

Nah tbh I get exactly what you mean but I do like the yachty song and sexy red song but I can def see why someone wouldnât
Money on my mind, I'm rackin my brain..
âBidin my time with you but then things got politicalâ
Rumors and theories that drake and Bobbi fall out was because of some kind of talent agency politics
