-After HNVM and Her Loss I really thought we were trending towards shorter, more focused projects in this era. Boy was I wrong. But I recognize that's a me problem for having expectations.
-Album really feels akin to MCHG where an aging rapper is very obviously trying to keep up with trends to uneven results. Based on the two tracks we got beforehand, the "old Drake" comments, plus my earlier point, I thought we would get something a lot closer to 4:44 than MCHG. Again, that's a me problem though
-It's a whole lot more enjoyable in the car

MCHG is a great example
I’ve never heard a Drake album where he’s so clearly trying to keep up with current trends, it’s very similar to MCHG in that regard

Even if he didn't say he was taking a two year hiatus someone listening to this body of work would recommend one because he needs time to just recalibrate after tour and this.
