EverestThere’s hardly even carved out verses or any type of switch up unless it’s an entire pointless beat change. I feel that really blocks some of these songs from being anything.
Drake just hopping on the mic and finding 3-4 minutes worth of catchy, sweet melodies and clever phrasesAnd that’s it.
Feels to me that since like 2017/2018 he’s not as methodical with songwriting as he used to be. Feels like he’s taking a more Future approach to recording nowadays

When you put it like that it sounds bad. However, judging by Sophie’s IG, she’s into art and doesn’t promote any negativity. She seems really chill. I never understood why Drake called her a fluke I would jump for joy over Sophie lol

Still impressive for being on auto pilot, but damn I’m glad he’s taking a break. J Cole song is pristine album material.
