Its the nostalgia of discovering So Far Gone and listening to it for the first time and then discovering the OG OVO blogs with all the BTS/hints of the project. Its the nostalgia of waiting for November 15th for Take Care to drop while avoiding leaks. Its the out of blue drop of IYRTITL when some hints dropped and then realising Drake wore the album art on a hoody during a Raptors game. It was the first time listening to WATTBA and More Life on OVO sound radio with what seemed like the rest of the world at the same time cherishing timeless moments.
But then it turned to alot of hype with, not disappointment, but just anticlimatic feelings with every Drake release. To get so excited to only be disappointed with what always seems the be more of the same recycled Drake with a newly invented persona you'd think he was tryna be the Weeknd, interspersed with some highlights but overall no long lasting replay value (in my opinion).
Alas, here we again, a new album on the cusp of being broadcast to the world and I find myself falling for the same hype and building up the loftiest of lofty expectations that you would think this was track 8 of House of Balloons.
For All My Dogs. Here we are again. Please don't disappoint me Drake.

TC and NWTS are rated so high because they’re the best produced drake projects. Those soundscapes and textures are unmatched
