Yeah, I know. Eminem always drops his albums weeks after they've already been sent out for physicals to be made. Kendrick/Cole also don't work on s*** till the last minute. Neither does Tyler the Creator or Rod Wave. Most rappers have their albums up for pre-save/pre-order weeks before it drops.
Drake is the only one who works on s*** till the last possible minute because he knows he'll do numbers regardless.
Do you think heâs being a perfectionist, or just being a professional procrastinator?

Take Care is 17 songs. This is just a fact that exists.
It's not that deep, man. She looks a lot different in her pictures with Drake than in the pictures on her IG. I voiced my opinion on the energy she gave off based on the multitude of IG models who look the same and post the same pictures with the same captions. That's all there is to it.
Copying other people /= being dumb
Iâm sorry but this isnât true. Youâre 100% right huge pop stars who have their lyrics written for them and videos done by the studio with a budget most likely have it done beforehand. Thereâs also a small sample size of artists from other genres who do this. But youâre taking a select few âvery well knownâ artists who do that. Youâre not accounting for 99% of other artists who wait till the last minute. Yes there is a small 1% of artists who are household names who have everything laid out. If it wasnât a copyright infringement or a risk of me getting fired, I would show you a list longer than the dictionary of songs to be cleared the day before their album drops.
First of all, stop using figures like 100% or 1% or 99% lol. Majority of the music industry are singers and most singers have their albums ready to go weeks/months prior because they have to work with their labels to ensure physicals are done, videos are shot, marketing/promotion is booked, etc.
I don't disagree that rappers are the ones who usually work on things till the last minute but majority of the major hitters don't do that, which is my point. Other rappers who are C or D-list artists are forced to work with their labels to meet release dates because they don't have the sort of pull the major hitters do.
I can agree about samples/legal sometimes getting cleared last minute. That's out of the hands of the artists because that's the label's job. But most times, once a label has approved a release date, a C/D-list rapper can't make any changes. Whatever guest verses haven't been sent in won't make it and whatever samples haven't been cleared get left out.
Sorry if my first reply to you came off confrontational. I just think it's unwise to speak in absolutes, using things like 1% or 99% or 100%.

Drake has 10 out of the 14 full-length projects Drake has dropped have at least 16 songs. Thank Me Later/DLDT/Honestly, Nevermind have 14 songs each and WATTBA has 11 songs. Those are the only outliers.
My CD got 17
Marvin's Room and Buried Alive Interlude are one track on the physical
I can see bums like Uzi/Thug etc working on their projects till the last min (95% of rappers)

Powerful post.
Whatâs with all this unofficial roll out material ? . They took the approach of paying random influencers to promo the album?
