Drake isn't spending hours writing/recording, just to sit and watch 40/Noel mix songs when he trusts them to know what to do.
He's still gotta sleep and recharge to work some more when he wakes up. Not to mention, he's got a show the day the album drops and the day after that as well.

Because he said so himself? The album was delayed by a week because of 40, not because Drake hadn't finished recording. Drake himself confirmed when 40 was done working on it lol.
