That s*** was breaking my heart honestly.
He used to be such a captivating and pitch perfect performer between 2013-2019
I could honestly say after Covid, he just doesn’t seem like he’s rehearsing or putting in any work to remember his catalog.
You look back at performances like Too Much on Jimmy Fallon, or his Summer Sixteen tour - he’s a different performer.

All that being said, it’s difficult to keep that level for 15 years, however I do think there are plenty of artists that do maintain it.

It’s not fatigue is the thing because this is how he’s been performing everywhere. He was never known to keep such high backing vocals but now it’s almost throughout the show.
What made him so insane live was that his voice with no backing sounded so clear and exact to what you heard recorded.
His walkout song on the scorpion tour 8 out 10 probably became one of my friends because of how he did it live.
