Although I agree that different artists cultivate different types of fanbases, to say Drake’s fans aren’t interested in buying merch from him is just wrong.

The guy made a book full of one liners and mannnnnny people bought it and went wild for it, even if that was short lived. Not only that, but personally, every person I know who went to his shows this summer bought tour merch, and I’m sure that happens with every show, and as we’ve seen before, happens every tour. Items constantly are sold out on drakerelated, and OVO continues to do well even though that isn’t necessarily “artist merch”. As well as Nocta which isn’t a hit but it’s definitely not a miss especially amongst Drake fans considering the amount of items that have sold out before.

Whatever merch he’s released whether it be clothing, shoes, books, candles, towels, they’ve always had a positive impact with his fanbase, even when prices have been higher than they should be.

I also get you don’t classify certain items as “artist merchandise” but if the artist is putting it out and there name is tied to it, I’m sorry to say but it’s “artist merchandise”
