If you think a fraction, smaller than 1% of Drake's IG followers wouldn't buy a single item on his site, that's insane lol

Most of his followers just stream his music and there’s nothing wrong with that. Don’t know why some of y’all get so up in arms about the fact that different artists cultivate different types of fanbases.

Drake is still bigger than damn near anyone, but majority of his fans aren’t interested in buying merch from him

9/22 was definitely the initially agreed upon date. 10/6 was just submitted today officially as per friend who works at Billboard. So no more delays. Also should expect something in between then.

just texted DORK and told him to push back the album to spite billboard

I'd buy something off drakerelated if shipping wasn't like 30$ + customs tax

Yes, you probably would because you’re a forum member like me and we care about these artists 100% more than the average person.

Your average IG user is just seeing that Drake dropped a new album and going to stream it, he hasn’t cultivated a merch-obsessed fanbase

What information do you have to back this up? People bought tickets for ridiculous prices to see him live this summer. You don't think they'd buy merch?

It's actually the more affordable option of supporting him

I’ll never understand y’all on here that compare spending money for a concert ticket vs. spending money for a shirt. Two completely different things.

Any artist big enough can sell tickets because people want to see a world famous musician perform. But at the same time, not every huge artist is moving millions in merch tied to album releases because certain fanbases are not that demographic of people.

People don’t buy concert tickets solely to support the artist. They buy them to experience the artist performing live and get a night they’ll never forget. Not the same at all as buying a T-shirt.

You can’t really confirm no delays because if it needs to be delayed they can still delay it

You always wrong when it comes to travis selling merch. Yes he has a lot of pull in fashion in the “streetwear” world. But thats a minority compared to the world bro. Drakes audience reaches beyond kids who wear yeezys and travis jordan 1s reselling shoes. Drake has had a successful clothing brand for years now. OVO. Now has deals with nike and sells random merch on drakerelated. Drake can 1000000000000000% sell a crazy amount of merch and accessories for a new album. More than travis because guess what.. he’s a bigger act than travis.
