i miss the honestly nevermind drake that just dropped what he wanted and didn't care about reception. delaying the album because your single didn't get the reception you wanted is insecure s***
Bruh we already know that this album has rap on it. THG said all the songs he heard were rap. Yachty said some of Drake's best verses are on this and that it's his most energetic project yet. That doesn't sound like a R&B only album. We already know the album likely has a good balance of both rap and r&b. That's not the issue. I think he just didn't get the reaction/reception he wanted with the single, even if it seems like the reception is overwhelmingly positive, Drake may feel that the fans are not as hyped up as they would be if he dropped hype/banger type track

Idk man I just think Drake is very observant like that. He may feel that he wants to drop a big banger track to really drive the hype up. Not saying I believe that's 100% the reason why he delayed it but it does sound very reasonable to me
