    Love Life Utopia

January, you pretend to see life clearly, yearly
February is the time that you put the evil eye and the pride aside
For the fantasy of gettin' married, very scary
March got you already second guessin' titles
April, Spring is here and just like a spring you start to spiral
    May brings some warmer days
    Poolside gettin' very tan
June have you movin' ice cold, goin' back and forth with a married man
July, that's when I found out you lied
August, it was "Baby this", "Baby that", like you had your tubes tied
September, we fallin' off, but I'm still the man you tryna win over
October is all about me, 'cause your turn should've been over
November, got your moodboardin' for next year and you're single
December the gift givin' month and now you wanna rekindle, I— tsk

You b****es really get carried away.

Is the “Baby This, Baby That” line talking about the girl asking for everything like she had her tubes tied and couldn’t get preggo. That’s the only bar that I pondered.

His pen is the best it’s ever been and this song that he released just goes to show he’s really in his “old drake” bag. And by “old drake” I just mean it seems like he is the most settled he’s been in years. This song was a breath of fresh air from the anxious bars, etc. I think he’s in a great space right now.

Agreed! Great space for him rn with no beefs or outside music drama. My excitement grows every day since we still don’t really know what this project will be like and I love the mystery. Old Drake is really the only thing we got

Slimed You Out as an album cut is chefs kiss. If the entire project matches that level, we’re in for an undeniable masterpiece

I thought CLB was going to be his best based on some of the leaks and the trailer and stuff. Then all the changes happened and we knew that after like 1.5 years of delays that it would sound different and COVID kind of messed everything up and I think he lost a bit of focus. Still love CLB but this one has a great chance to be his best project

It not being a typical high energy works in its favor. Highkey increases the hype

No. But this sound I think kind of connects with the rest of what I heard. “Older” Drake vibes Take Care/NWTS esque if you will. Not saying it’ll compare but I’m happy that’s where it’s going.

    Ayyyyye 💅

Drake and SZA's latest masterpiece, 'Slime You Out,' is nothing short of immaculate and breathtaking, a musical experience that transcends the ordinary and propels listeners into a heavenly realm of sound.
From the very first notes, this song weaves a spellbinding tapestry of emotions and sonic textures, effortlessly merging Drake's signature lyrical prowess with SZA's ethereal vocals. The track's hypnotic rhythm and otherworldly production create an enchanting atmosphere that envelops the listener, transporting them to a realm where music reigns supreme. 'Slime You Out' is a divine collaboration that elevates the very essence of music itself, reminding us of the boundless beauty and magic that can be found in the art of sound. It's an ode to artistic genius and a testament to the power of two remarkable artists who have ascended to new heights in their creative journey.

At the end of the day, I think the song isn't bad at all but it being pushed as a single definitely harmed its reception. Might as well not drop a single at all since it's neither a new sound nor a song sprinkled with crack that gon last on the charts.

Otherwise on the song itself my only complaint is that something feels missing and idk if it's background vocals, an element to the beat, idk it just feels a little plain and his shaky autotune crooning doesn't make up for it but all in all it's not a bad song and when the album drops it might not be a skip in the context of the album
