Man I already said everything to this to you yesterday, don't fool yourself

We still have no idea what this album will be, but if it ends up just being CLB Part 2 a lotta people gonna be really annoyed lmao

    Fr, CLB isn’t ā€œold Drakeā€ whatsoever

CLB is old in that sense that it isn't his latest solo project anymore and that HNVM was very different so he's going back to make "normal" music again. It's not that deep

Yeah, the snippet sounded like their Good People material. Fans will be disappointed at there being no Majid vocals on the song, though. Their last album dropped like 2 years ago.

Waittt majid is on it, my bad

And releasing it on NWTS anniversary. CLB isn’t even old lmao

Kid loves CLB so much and desperately wants this to happen, that he has convinced himself that this is what Drake is talking about. Crine.

I already said yesterday who cares about some people on KTT and Twitter when CLB did over 600k in his first week and was very stable for months?

CLB sold 650k so far this year alone, you think Drake needs to care about us?

Most people on Twitter have also caught up as usual they don't hate CLB anymore

That implies that Drake was operating under the assumption that people thought he would continue to release dance music. I think everyone pretty much understood that was a one-off project

That nigga is not talking bout no damn CLB, doesn’t even seem like Drake himself likes that project that much

Not really, I was always talking about him releasing a project like his old formula like Views, More Life, Scorpion or CLB. It doesn't matter, I just say CLB because it was the last album he released in that style in 2021

Yes and when casuals hear ā€œold Drakeā€ and ā€œshe says they miss the old Drake girl don’t tempt meā€ what era/style of Drake do you think they’re expecting to hear

I think it has less to do with formula and more to do with the qualities that made people fall in love with Drake’s music. He is on an Eras tour right now after all, I highly doubt he’d be using ā€œold Drakeā€ to promote this album if it was gonna be anything like post-2016 Drake output

None because most of the casuals don't care about TC or NWTS that much like the hardcore Drake stans. They started to listen to Drake in 2016.

Most people go by what the artist released last and Drake wants to avoid that people think he's releasing another dance album, thats why he was referring to "old Drake". Yes, he used quotes from old albums but we all know Drake, it probably has nothing to do with the album at all

    I strongly disagree with you.

The man is on an Eras tour right now, he knows exactly what people are expecting when they hear ā€œold Drakeā€. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that this is the album he’s choosing to release during this specific tour.

Same way More Life dropped while he was on his overseas tour

I'm not even talking about the quality, CLB has enough flaws. I'm just saying he can drop whatever he wants, if it's in that formula most people will eat it up

I don't like Scorpion at all and I think it's worse than CLB but look how popular it was, this album might go diamond soon

Quote me when it dropped next week, we get 4-5 "old Drake" songs and the rest will be multiple stuff just like his past solo projects (except HNVM) and we for sure getting some Her Loss-type tracks because he's f***ing with that currently

For some people Views is already old Drake nowadays lmao

He’s releasing it on the 10 year anniversary of NWTS man. Does that not mean anything?

Yes, sure, anything Drake releases will be consumed at a massive level because at worst he makes good, enjoyable music to throw on in the background or at social events. He’ll never release an actual commercial failure of a record.

I don’t think he needs to tease ā€œold Drakeā€ to sell records, he’s gonna sell regardless, so choosing that syntax specifically was intentional and fans have the right to be expecting a certain thing going into this album

I’m not disagreeing with the possibility that it might not be exactly what was promoted, I’m disagreeing with the fact that fans shouldn’t have the right to be annoyed/upset if that ends up being the case
