If For All the Dogs is anywhere near as dominant on streaming as Certified Lover Boy was, Drake will own the entire top 10 when the album debuts on the Hot 100.

The #1 song on next week's Hot 100 chart is projected to have 237 points. The week Certified Lover Boy dropped, Pipe Down debuted at #14 on the Hot 100 with 241 points.

Drake definitely not debuting within the entire Top 10 with Doja dropping the same day. She can manage to sneak one or two in

Not sure about definitely tho, her debuts are always kinda weakish. Planet Her's highest streamed song day #1 was Kiss Me More at 1.7m on Spotify

all 21 songs on CLB did 2m or more streams first day. Top 10 all 3.8m+

doja's team crazy if they don't delay, wouldn't surprise me if she does under 100k

Also, TSU/Passionfruit didn't need those unnecessary long-ass intros.

it’s a hot take to like passionfruit intro now?

keep in mind olivia’s album is projected to only have one new song debut top 10, and that’s in a normal week. imo i don’t think doja’s album will be as big as hers

    Interesting

I don’t think Paint the Town Red will freefall to #11 though just because Drake’s album is out

I don’t think i’ll see or hear a single person talk about doja the entire week these two projects drop lol

You think Doja's grown a lot since then? I don't see it. Kiss Me More was as big as Paint the Town Red imo

It will. You have to look at points. She has a very weak #1 song. 14 songs from CLB debuted with higher points than her #1 record right now.

Yes but that was two years ago and CLB was the most anticipated Drake album since Views.

How many points did Search & Rescue debut with? I think that’s a better barometer to compare to since it’s his most recently released song

You haven't been keeping watch with the charts and that's okay but don't say what you don't know lol.

Doja should push the album forward one week. Even if she pushes it back one week Drakes second week will still outsell. Maybe even his third week. So pushing it forward is her best bet.

I have been the entire year. I think it’s foolish to compare the current numbers with what CLB did, considering the fact that it was two years ago and also his most anticipated release post-Views.

Comparing For All the Dogs’s potential numbers to Search & Rescue’s debut numbers is a more accurate comparison

Album Drake is DIFFERENT when it comes to streaming. FATD will stream the same as CLB.

Drake's rap albums always do damage. You'd think after Scorpion/CLB and even Her Loss, people would understand that. Her Loss debuted 8 songs in the top 10 and that album only managed 500M US streams. Scorpion/CLB did almost 750M US streams.

Even if For All the Dogs only did 600M US streams, the charts are weak enough to where he could still own the entire top 10.

FATD is pretty highly anticipated, it was trending #1 on twitter a couple weeks ago when people thought it would drop with no announcement from Drake himself

  • Sep 10, 2023

Also don’t compare HNVM or Her Loss numbers to any other Drake solo project. Its how you get the projections wrong every time. HNVM was a surprise release DANCE record. Her Loss was a collab project which are known to do way less numbers. FATD will show everyone once again that he is top dog for a reason. And once again all of the doubters will look stupid

Idk, there’s definitely a lot of hype there for this album, but it seems like a little less hype than CLB to me. CLB was teased for literal years, and was his first proper project in over three years, excluding DLDT. Plus the Kanye back and forth/battle with Donda was propelling it even more.

He’s dropped two albums since then and this will be his fourth project in two years, I don’t think it’s going to come out the gate with nuclear streaming numbers like CLB did, at least not enough to occupy the entire Top 10

You sitting here acting like he isn’t the second biggest act in the world right now streaming wise. Only him and Taylor compete. The world is going to be tuning in once again no matter what we feel like the ā€œhypeā€ is like. You can’t really determine that.

No, it's not. Her Loss did 500M+ US streams and that dropped with 2 weeks notice and was a collab album so not every Drake fan supported as much as they'd support a solo Drake album. You're determined to think Drake has somehow lost his streaming prowess in less than 2 years and that's okay.

Anyways, I'm not having yet another pointless back and forth with you. We'll see what For All the Dogs ends up doing when it drops.

Again, nobody said he lost his streaming prowess. All I’m saying is that it’s unlikely that he debuts within the entire Top 10.

The album is still gonna clear 500K+ easily first week regardless
