Buddy of mine that works with a big music label states that Drake will be dropping on the 8th alongside Teezo Touchdown. Drake had this day planned before Teezo which is why Drake went out of his way to plug the album on his own socials since the record label Teezo is with is making him drop on that date, unfortunate for him it's the same date as Drake. There is also word that Teezo will have a small feature on FATD, though that hasn't been confirmed.

With this in mind, we should be getting an announcement on labor day for the album to release the following Friday. My friend says expect the rollout to increase this week

Absolutely. Sounded fishy to me, too but my friend accurately predicted Bieber and Sza linking up, which was something I would not have seen coming so I trust him to some degree. Drake has never had an issue dropping against big artists in other genres. Olivia is not on the same level as Taylor Swift. I feel like Drake will move for Swift but he will not move for someone like Olivia.
