Of course we are, we just donât like being dragged along and blue balled for months at a time while we get our 1000th dialed in post.
Everyone here is in agreement that it would be nice to get a traditional rollout, but itâs evident after like 5 projects, that s*** is done with for Drake. He does not care about it anymore. The self promotion is as good as it will get at this point.
Whatâs dense about what I said? I said earlier today that his music management is embarrassing & it needs to be addressed. But if youâre Drake, why would you? Thereâs no reason to fix it if whatever you do is going to work for you.
Iâm talking about the whole âstop complaining cause youâre gonna listenâ bs. Iâm tired of yâall doing that. Itâs all or nothing with Drake stans in general. Not saying you are one but itâs a recurring thing ITT

I never told you to stop complaining because these are all valid concerns. My point is that if the fans are going to listen regardless, what is the point in doing a traditional rollout if youâre Drake? There is no incentive in year 14.
This mid drop yet ?
Yep just because he CAN surprise release and get a lot of streams doesnât mean thatâs how he should it. He got what under 300,000 first week for honestly nevermind but a full week of promo for CLB gets him the best selling first week hip hop album of the decade. Why should he settle when he can continue to be the status quo?
Well to be fair, HNVM didnât do the numbers his other projects did because it was a surprise dance album that no one was expecting.
This mid drop yet ?
What Drake lied about when heâs dropping music?
Iâm f***ing shocked
Literally fell to my knees right now
Well to be fair, HNVM didnât do the numbers his other projects did because it was a surprise dance album that no one was expecting.
Still if he wouldâve done a weeks worth of promo and told everyone it was a dance album, it likely wouldâve done double the numbers.

I just have a love for the art form. Itâs a lost art that I miss, thatâs all. We were even discussing the 10th anniversary of HOWGH earlier on this site and the whole lead up to NWTS made everything feel special. I just miss that s*** with huge artists

I wish he talked about HNVM a lot more after. Itâs such a good album that I wish we got so much more out of it.
Well to be fair, HNVM didnât do the numbers his other projects did because it was a surprise dance album that no one was expecting.
Thereâs a strong chance it wouldâve done better with a legitimate rollout.
Thereâs also a strong chance CLB never does 600K first week if there wasnât a three year buildup to it and it was just a random surprise drop like HNVM

Thatâs why I applaud Travis a lot right now because heâs doing everything in his power to make Utopia an unforgettable moment in time
Thereâs a strong chance it wouldâve done better with a legitimate rollout.

FATD is definitely gonna do great numbers though. Especially with him being on tour, rap not having huge releases, etc. I just wish there was more info on the album like at least a single or some s***
I have a theory on why he has changed since scorpion and it has to do with the fact that he couldnât release an album without a messy rollout muddled with nonsensical beefs. Iâm fully convinced drake is doing this stuff on purpose so no one in the industry can gauge when heâs actually dropping.
donda came out a week before clb though?
Right Iâm trippin but my thought was like anything in general in regard to release time tampering between ye and pusha
Thereâs a strong chance it wouldâve done better with a legitimate rollout.

Surprise drops rarely ever do big numbers

I feel like that s*** is gone, unfortunately. We live in microwave society & I feel like all anybody even cares about is the first week of an album drop then fans are immediately asking âwhatâs next?â.

Itâll do great, but I donât see it doing 600K+ if itâs just a day of reveal
Surprise drops rarely ever do big numbers
Exactly, but someone said Drake can do a surprise drop right now and sell 600K+ first week. We were telling him that isnât really the case anymore
Every major rap album release the fans are calling it trash or classic before they even finish the album. What is the incentive for a rap artist to actually put time in a rollout if thatâs how itâs received night one?

Youâre not wrong there at all unfortunately. But thatâs why I look to Drake, being the hottest act in music, to shift paradigms I guess

Yeah prob not, but considering people know itâs coming and itâs not really a surprise drop it would def do more than HN. Maybe like 500K ish.
Itâll do great, but I donât see it doing 600K+ if itâs just a day of reveal
Idk I think it honestly will but weâll see. Like I said, I could give a rats ass about numbers. I just want the music to be good.

I really just donât think so. Look at how well jimmy cooks did as a song by itself. Because that song is the expectation from a drake album.
I could be very wrong but Iâm not sure if a traditional rollout wouldâve helped HNVM. That album was always going to be forced to stand the test of time in my opinion.
