How can anyone say this is an actual rollout? All he’s done is say “my album is coming out”, worn a dog mask and posted obscure “dialed in” posts. This is as minimal effort as possible. I’m not convinced he’s releasing this anytime soon at this point.

Idk I don’t believe him anymore after clb. He said summer, then September, then released a trailer for January then said summer again, and didn’t release til September of 21. Pushed it back over a full year from when he said it was coming.

Between all you mentioned, hella people (mostly casual music fans) are aware that 1) Drake is dropping soon 2) the album is called For All The Dogs and (most importantly) 3) are finding Drake really likable.

All 3 points above are the goal of any rollout, traditional or non traditional. He's in the midst of a great rollout imo. Ofc not having a clear date is frustrating but that shouldn't take away from a fun rollout otherwise.

I mean to be fair that’s more a testament to him than his teams execution. They’ve had some clever moments like hotline bling but it’s been more about how hot Wayne was and how good Drake is as opposed to strategy. TML halfway sucking, Charged Up, how the Pusha beef has/is being handled…it’s a lot of moments where his overall teams judgement has looked questionable

That being said at this point he just has to make an IG post and he’s good lol

It’s more of an album acknowledgment than a rollout. No date, no cover, no single, no billboards, no nothing. If we had literally any of those things I’d dial back in. And he hasn’t mentioned the album in a single interview.

They’re aware because all the say cheese rap tv Akademiks type pages spam that info and people see it if they check social media

To be fair he never releases a single before his albums. And since DLDT he had a s***ty rollout, usually 1 -2 day notice of album release date

Everyone still comparing this album to CLB & I have no idea why. He said it was coming during the summer & it’s still summer time. He said two weeks or some s*** LESS THAN two weeks ago. This album is not late & it hasn’t been pushed back months. Relax.

Yeah the math from when he said “ 2 weeks or some s***” would be the 9th. But that “ or some s***” means it could be 3 weeks , 4 weeks knows . This album is definitely dropping now to October
