Well I don't really see any point in complaining when things start to look imminent. And I get the whole thing of artists wanting to tease and be mysterious to garner hype and interest. And no, Drake and Travis aren't artists that have to do that. But on the other hand, they're the exact artists that should be using those tactics. They're the biggest and their releases should feel that way.
I love the briefcase thing. I wish there was a little more form to it, instead of how random it's been. But shoutout to making rollouts fun again.
Yeah, the rollouts aren't unnecessary but they could definitely be handled a lot better, is my point.

Sure that makes sense, but please donât lose hope based on that video lol that changes nothing
About to drop that off for you real quick.
It doesnât sound like heâs gna drop in august / September when he sounds like itâs basically ready
?
Yeah itâs either this friday or mid to late august at this point. Trav got the summer imo
I just don't want him dropping and then having another major album drop the week after, so he might as well push the album to August instead of doing a rush job to finish it up. There's literally zero reasons for him to rush.
Yeah and that's how you have situations like when certain songs off CLB got remastered and mixed again AFTER the album had dropped lol.
What's most funny about this to me is Drake acting like anyone was rushing him to drop another album so soon. He could easily have taken his time and not said anything till he was done and was satisfied with what he'd made. Now, he has announced the album and is likely rushing to finish it up lmao. That's all I have an issue with but it's whatever.
Nah but Iâm saying thatâs my point tho, him mixing it doesnât necessarily mean itâs far away since he continues mixing every album after itâs release date is announced
Hey man I understand Drake lies but he has said summer album and summer bops and all this summer stuff like every single show. Iâm sticking with summer and before end of August
Sure that makes sense, but please donât lose hope based on that video lol that changes nothing
I'm still excited for the album. I just think communication about releases shouldn't be confusing to fans and a clear strategy to roll out an album (if an artist wants to use a rollout in the first place) should be in place when the album is ready to be rolled out, not when it is far from being done. That's all.

The nationwide newspaper + book release + QR code giving actual daily updates (features, tracklist, cover, release date) during the last week leading up to release would've been some next-level GOAT type hype-building. Should've just teased an album at the shows until it was all ready and done that

Agreed
Rap? Tbh I wouldn't be the best to consult on the brand new dudes. McKinley Dixon's new album is dope
Outside of hip hop though I've got plenty
Drop them! Iâm open to everything honestly

Mixing isn't the only thing that has to get done. The songs still have to get mastered after that and 40 isn't the one who handles that. An old dude named Chris Athens is who does that. He's been mixing all of Drake's projects since Nothing Was the Same.

Yeah, great idea, TERRIBLE execution.
But for real, f*** him if he's spending every show teasing an album he isn't dropping this month. There's really no reason for that.
We got 4 albums in 3 years. Who cares if he teases an album 1/2 months before releasing it. Uzi/carti out here teasing albums for years before dropping

Speaking of Uzi, that album really came and went, huh?

Thatâs fair

He said that was an âexperimental albumâ and now heâs about to drop the real one.
Iâm trying to be realistic but to me, âdrop it off on yâall real quickâ seems sooner than before

Pink tape is garbage. Drake has consistently been dropping quality projects, he can take all the time he wants. I think it's cool he's slowly revealing details of the album per show
Everyone just wants to be mad at me lmao. I said before that Reddit dude said anything that I was more than fine with the albums he dropped in 2022 carrying me throughout this year.
What I have a problem with is the miscommunication with fans surrounding the book and how it was used to act like the album would be dropping soon when that wasn't the case. And now, with teasing an album every day you perform when you're likely not close to being done with it. There's a reason why he keeps saying ''I'll drop this summer.'' Summer doesn't end till the end of September so anytime from now till then will still fall in line with that, so is the plan to keep teasing the album every other day for weeks till then? That's what I don't get lol, especially when he didn't need to do any of this s*** for the album he JUST dropped lol.
You guys are clearly missing the point sheâs trying to make here lol.
I agree itâs stupid af to announce the album the way he did with the whole scan the dogs daily bullshit that was fake news.
I think 4 tour shows is plenty to promote the album with little updates or whatever.
But itâs extremely annoying if heâs acting like itâs basically done them drops the album in September or some s***, and him n his team know damn well they just started it or something when he announced it.(which I doubt ) I think heâs been working on this album since beginning of January but, he shouldnât hype an album up say itâs gna be a summer drop then drop like September or months later. His approach was wack / lazy, should have also never mentioned the book went with the album too
