The album is still cookin, but there are active discussions about moving the release date up possibly sooner to end of month. That means an announcement sooner than month end as originally planned. Don’t know why people think it’s so crazy to assume that this could drop on Friday. 40’s not some amateur engineer, and unless the album’s 16+ tracks, one could easily mix the entire thing in a week, especially the guy nicknamed for his around the clock work ethic. Mastering could be a seperate ordeal too IF 40 didn’t literally have his own f***ing super studio @ SOTA
if they want it out this week, it’ll drop this week

That said, it sounds like nicki was a recent inclusion so maybe they’re just still working on it and he said that to keep spirits high

they just underestimate Drake's work ethic bc they're used to their faves going into a 5 year hiatus after dropping one LP

Drake isn’t the guy to sit on an album for too long once it’s done. He didn’t say he’s recording it, he said he’s mixing it which means it’s mostly done. I’m still thinking the 14th with the off day Thursday and weekend shows in Canada makes too much sense.
