An addiction is something you can't control, something that drives you purely based on compulsion and not even necessarily desire/enjoyment and often times, it ends up ruining your life and your relationships with other people. It doesn't seem to me like gambling, drinking or popping percocets is that way for Drake from the outside looking in.

Dude is not a sloppy drunk and is very high-functioning considering all the work he does (both what we see and don't see).

If an adult wants to drink half a bottle of wine a day because they want to, they can. If an adult wants to have s***5 times a week because they want to, they can. If an excessively rich person wants to gamble for fun because they can afford to do so without ruining their lives or really losing any of their actual money, they can. All the gambling we've ever seen Drake do is with money given to him by Stake. We've never seen him actually bet his own dollars on that s***.

Doesn't mean they're addicted and automatically assuming that is dangerous. I'm sure there are things you do often (maybe playing video games or going to parties or some other activity you simply enjoy engaging in whether for the pure fun of it or because it helps you de-stress after a hectic day that you wouldn't categorize as an addiction, even if it's something you do frequently). It just means they like engaging in those things, especially if it helps you deal with other things you face on a daily basis.

I feel like so long as you have a handle on things, you know your limits and you have good people around you who have a vested interest in you being okay and won't encourage your every whim, you'll be fine.

Drake lives a very insane life with everything he does on a day-to-day. I'd be surprisedd if he didn't do all those things tbh. Seems like a very stressful existence to have.
