kidxvintagetrying to think how many it could have been? if it started after Scorpion, he released 2 full length projects before CLB (Care Package & Dark Lane) still under UMG/Republic. We know the deal ended at Scorpion.

6. For All The Dogs6 projects (if we count the Care Package) plus he is giving them a massive tour.
Him being out of the deal after 6 albums and a tour could track for $500 Million. They maybe just didnât expect the speed itâd happen at.

Do we know that for sure though? He released a lot of music under UMG/Republic after Scorpion and before CLB. Drake said he was out of the deal on Scorpion, Variety did a whole article in 2018 on how Drake was out of the deal and what he could possibly do.
Entirely possibly the deal started at CLB and Iâm not saying youâre wrong, just an interesting piece of business to look at. That period of time between Scorpion and CLB is what is so interesting to me. There had to be something at least worked out once Dark Lane Demo Tapes came out, right? Unless he was negotiating every release with them one by one.
