If they had a full team (40, Noel, maybe BNYX, etc.) mixing the album, Friday is definitely in play. I’d imagine if he was comfortable announcing the album, the mixing process had already started.

With this logic, why even drop an album? There’s an album dropping every week this summer. They’re on the same label. If the numbers mattered at all, they wouldn’t even drop in the same month.

The logic is that Drake can drop on the same week as 99.9% of artist itw and would dominate. For example, Lil Uzi.

Taylor Swift is part of that .01%. Trust me on this. Even on the same label, the label will want 2 separate big first weeks. Same reason Disney wouldn’t release a Star Wars movie the same month as a big Marvel movie.
