Kendrick was coming off a two-year break following TPAB and had a full rollout yet only just pipped Drake in sales.
2022 again isn’t a fair comparison when Drake randomly and hastily dropped a dance album and Kendrick was coming back from a five-year hiatus with a studio album

only responding to your argument. For the record I agree that people were and always will be checking for Kendrick. But he’s never outsold Drake on a level playing field
