It's not even a Drake thing. I dare anyone here to be excellent/dominant in ANYTHING. Be the person in your office or a department in your office who is the most effective, reliable and who gets the most results. Watch that start getting you favor in the sights of your bosses. Get promoted as a result of your work ethic. Watch how the same people who you were cool with all of sudden start icing you out of get-togethers outside the office or stop talking whenever you enter a room because they're gossiping about you. Some of them might even outright start hating you. It's not because you did anything to deserve that. It's because your success brought out their insecurities and you became the subject of everything they wish they could be but aren't. I've experienced s*** like this first-hand so I can speak to it. When it happens, it's really weird because you don't know what to do with the sudden change in energy and yes, it absolutely does feel like a betrayal because it's usually sudden and out of nowhere.
Now, I'm not saying what I went through was the same thing Drake did. I didn't get called a pedophile on a global stage and have the whole world laughing at my expense. I'm just saying human beings are very interesting creatures and how we deal with each other isn't always pure and good.

Demar and Bron both made it known in their own way post NLU that they fw Drake. But you can’t deny the fact that Drake wouldn’t feel a way by this. And wouldn’t want to be buddy buddy at all, it’s all too personal, and if it was the other way round with Kendrick I’d understand that too.
With the other guys you can make an argument that it’s just rap/girl s*** and id understand its petty. but with Bron and de Mar I get the genuine bitterness

Exactly. Plus, Drake's case is unique because if it was that he had already had a falling out with everyone who switched up on him, he wouldn't feel so betrayed. They also didn't switch up on him till they saw other people do the same thing. That's why it feels like a betrayal.
That's one of the worst things you can ever feel — having people around you who secretly loathe you but pretend otherwise because of what they can gain from you. I'm always gonna choose the devil I know in that situation. I have a lot more respect for someone who hates me and is open about it because I know how to handle that. Having people you trusted switch up on you suddenly give you a crazy feeling of whiplash.
I know that I've experienced it at the workplace and with friends in my private life and it hurts all the same.

What's funny about all of this is that all they needed to do was not publicly support Kendrick. That's it. They didn't even have to publicly support Drake either. Just remain neutral. Hell, you're a f***ing basketball player who likes raps? Cool. Enjoy the battle like everyone else but don't act like you don't know that a public endorsement of either person directly means you're s***ting on the other.
Plus, the battle wasn't just battle. It got personal, quick. People's families got dragged into it. Once that happened, common sense should have told them that this isn't even something you wanna get in the middle of in any way. Just step the f*** away and let the two people in the battle deal with it.
It's crazy because it's people who aren't even that cool with Drake who supported him more than people like Bron and DeMar did lol.
