MonoloAs a singer. He still sings in the same register. He still using pretty much the same instrumental style from Nothing Was the Same. When I first got into drink as a singer it was sfg & I loved the the imperfections in his voice I love the dark and Moody production but even able has grown since then. When are we gonna hear drake sing over some funk or 80s pop instrumentals hell I'll even take some synth-pop of rock inspired singing.

I get what you’re saying OP. But I’d rather be happy with a more improved Drake the rapper than Drake the singer. But I fw his R&B joints heavy. It’s good that you pointed this out tho

some people just can't improve their vocal range because it's how their voice works. some people also understand their strengths and stick to what made them famous and popular in the first place. it's not an unknown concept to stay true to your roots.

iHypeThis is so funny cause actual full-time singers (Frank, Khalid, Bryson, Chris to an extent, etc) never change their actual singing style and yet y'all somehow don't have an issue with that but want Drake to change his style
Singing was always Drake's bonus, his rapping has changed, and overall his discog has so many different sounds. Nice for What, Best I Ever Had, Chicago Freestyle, MIA, Back to Back, and Headlines are all entirely different songs.
Y'all will never be satisfied with him and always find an issue. The fact y'all seriously still have the audacity to say he's done nothing different is some true refusing to give someone their flowers type s***.

I think a better critique would be Drake's subject matter not really evolving or his songwriting not maturing that much.
however it's hard to say that cause over the past two years a lot has changed for him.
for example an artist like Frank has subject matters from love in relationships, to how d**** affected his upbringing and family, to even the problems of a stereotypical "rich kid".
Like a song like this shows franks growth in writing
