Drake still calling females hoes and b****es at his big ole age is corny man
The "legends" in hip-hop still refer to women as b****es and hoes
He's critiquing the music, it's just like a XXL or The Source review in the 90's or Pitchfork s*** or whatever. His opinion is that music is immature, not that Drake is necessarily an immature person.
In his response Drake didn't really say anything about Joe's critique.
He told drake to stop f***ing 25 year old girls. That's a little beyond the scope of music, no? The inference and subtext is there.

If those words are so bad you should’ve censored them
Shambles occurring in here..Doesn’t change the fact that Drake is still the greatest of all time
people who still say this are definitely delusional bros been washed for a min atp
Drake still calling females hoes and b****es at his big ole age is corny man
Bro you’re really a white knight type of nigga forreal
I don’t think Joe said anything wrong tbh even if I do agree with Drake that Budden’s rap career didn’t turn out the way his podcast career did.
Drake do be hanging out with these young rappers too much trying to copy their flows and sounds.
And Drake do be f***ing with these young girls too much.
He’s a couple of years away from getting the Leonardo DiCaprio reputation.
Who these young girls drake f***in
Drake still calling females hoes and b****es at his big ole age is corny man
F*** them hoes
That's not a knock on podcasting
I never said podcasting was a bad thing in there at all. Just saying that clearly Drake makes the right decisions when it comes to being a rapper in the music business
But again, Joe was just giving his opinion
He wasn’t telling Drake what he should do if yall listen to the segment, he even said I understand why Drake does it, he’s a megastar
He said that HE doesn’t give asf about what you do with those streamer kids
He was just giving his opinion on what HE wants to hear not advice on what he should do
But I agree
Drake still calling females hoes and b****es at his big ole age is corny man
Are you guys new to hip hop culture ? Lmao.
'more produced'
densely layered MORE produced MORE layered musically doesn't automatically make it good. imagine dragons or coldplay have songs way more layered production than this drake album that doesn't make their music remotely good
This actually wasn’t an argument about quality, of course I know that
The debate was, one user said the album sounds the same as everything else in current hip hop. My argument on what makes it DIFFERENT from most albums (not better) is that the production and aesthetic is a lot more maximalist than most music we hear.
As a side note, I grew up a Ye fan and I’m always going to enjoy some big epic production over the more basic scaled down stuff

*Guy that lives in a 3rd world country
Drake are going to be in for a ride awakening soon. This will just get almost everyone to hop on the anti-Drake train.
Op got a hit thread his first attempt

And that's fair.
My commentary had more to do with the general consensus online right now about FATD
Joe's criticism of the album to me was fine. And Drake was def in his feels about it but I get it
this is all he f***ing said?
He told drake to stop f***ing 25 year old girls. That's a little beyond the scope of music, no? The inference and subtext is there.
Yeah, I think that's one part of what he said that was over stepping especially coming from Joe Budden. I think that, within context he's saying that if these 25 year olds keep you in the same loop of mistrust/disinterest you've been rapping about over the last few albums maybe make a change.
idk if you seen but someone sent tia corrine the noname shout out. Easy oop.
Really? Where u see that at?
*Guy that lives in a 3rd world country
Wow @Mechanical
Drake isn't necessarily wrong here, I just think he didn't need to go so hard
Joe didn't personally attack him
That being said, I don't quite get the criticism with Drake. At the end of the day, the goal of this s*** is to make music that resonates with the people, and it obviously does in a major way. The #1 goal of an artist is to make music that people like.
He's going to have 8 of the top 10 on billboard. He's unbiasedly making the right calls musically. that much, cannot be denied.
I also think it's ridiculous to make character and maturity assumptions off of 1 hr and 30 minutes of his life. These are songs that depict very small moments of his life over the span of 36 years. Relax.
Budden telling him to stop f***ing 25 year olds is pretty close to an attack though. Drake already be having people accusing him of grooming young women.

fair! what are some moments on this album that you would describe as maximalist or specifically really well layered and produced/on another level to other rappers atm
