He’s not a troll. Don’t let the obnoxious opinions fool you. Man is a fraud. 2 WORDS IS A CHARLATAN. He isn’t a Drake stan, he isn’t this “I’m too cool for real rap” recent persona either. He’s a dusthead who hates Drake but he’s too p**** to embrace that like he used to cause Drake stans ran his booty through. Now he’s terrorizing all of music sxn with his putrid nonsense and I have to bear witness to this incessant bullshit every time I try to read through an otherwise entertaining thread such as this one. And it’s frustrating cause he was a good poster at one point but I can’t f***ing take it anymore. I CANT F***ING TAKE IT

I’ve got some soul searching to do. I might not post for a while, locking up the door to ktt2 for about a year, I don’t even know what a break looks like

Man y'all really hate this album and drake lol
I love Drake. Take Care and NWTS and IYRTITL hold classic status to me. But I think people are absolutely delusional if they think anything after IYRTITL is actually GOOD. There are tracks here and there that are brilliant but the overall output is objectively bad. FATD sounds like a Drake Ai trained model with lyrics written by a fan of Drake.

Where were YOU during the Fall of Caesar, c. 2023?
I was at the last Saint Pablo concert :(
A second caption has hit Drake’s instagram
Remember that feeling you got when the second plane hit the twin towers and you realized what was going on?
You should have that same feeling right now.
Did Drake just type a verse out YouTube instrumental comments type lol
To quote a fallen soldier @insertcoolnamehere “7AM on Instagram”

Have a nice trip fam see u next fall❤️
Just because you don’t blindly support everything your favorite artist says and does doesn’t mean you hate them
I'm just stating what I've observed over the past couple days I'm not blindly supporting anything lol I jus think it's overhated and doesn't deserve the amount of negativity surrounding it that's just my two cents nobody asked for
I obviously don't know the guy. I'm just making this judgement based on what I'm listening to, and what I'm seeing. probably gonna end up writing a whole essay, but
1. constantly hopping on trends. For Exp. Hanging out with Kai Cenat. Streaming with Ninja back in Scorpion era. Maybe he's genuinely a fan. But can't imagine anybody over the age of 25 genuinely watching Kai Cenat. And theres not a lot of overlap in their careers. Comes across a business move. Young people love Kai, so him going out of his way to hang around Kai gets him cool points with younger audiences.
2. Hanging out and collabing with every young and new artist. Again, maybe he's genuinely cool with Sexy Redd. Maybe he genuinely felt she was needed on the song. But he has a history of just hoping on a track with every single trending artist. Makes think he's going "Oh. Sexy Redd is HOT right now. I HAVE to get her on the album"
3. Dropping 20+ track album. Which helps in the streaming era.
4. Dropping a new project like every year for the like the past 5+ years.
5. His subject matter making very little evolution across projects. he's been talking about the same stuff for over a decade now.
6. Album titles having borderline little meaning to the album itself. At least on the surface. After listening to this album, I have no clue why it was called "For All The Dogs". Just leads me to thinking he only named it that because he thought it sounded cool.
In isolation none of these things are bad. But everything leads me to believing he's not truly passionate about music, or the craft anymore.
He comes across as a man that doesn't want to ever give up his spot at the top. Comes across as his main goal being to maximize profits, and collect accolades.
Obviously music is a business. Obviously making money is the goal. But Drake is already one of the biggest musicians in the history of the entire music industry. Unless he screws up his image doing something illegal, he's pretty much GURANTEED to make a massive profit with what he releases. He's in a place where he can just chill out, and drop music whenever he's inspired.
If we compare this to Jay-Z's late career.
1. He doesn't drop every single year. There are even 4-5+ year gaps between albums. Which leads me to believe that when he DOES drop he's feeling truly inspired and passionate about what he's releasing.
2. 4:44 doesn't feel like it was hopping on trendy sounds that were prevalent that year. And the gaps between albums gives him more freedom with subject matter. We don't know what his thoughts on recent events are. We don't know whats been happening in his life. So he has a lot to update us on.
3- Jay DOES collab with the new gen from time to time. And he even talks highly of newer rappers. But he doesnt hand out features. and its rare that we'll see a new artist who's only been hot for a year being feature on a Jay album. So that leads me to believe that if Jay wanted them on the album, he REALLY f***s with their sound and felt like this collab was NEEDED for that particular song.
