Anyways I felt like we got robbed of a great rap battle because of Drake's inability to NOT bring up rappers wifes, gfs, & fiancée whenever he's beefing with another rapper. It's his go to move for everything, and history has shown us that with Common, Meek, Push, Rocky, etc

It goes to show you how desperate Kendrick and his team were to put on the perception that they'd won the battle and that the whole world had turned against Drake.
I believe the lesson that'll be learned after all of this is that Kendrick was a massively insecure person for the moves he made during the battle. Not Like Us was effective enough to have been an organic hit. It wouldn't have been as massive as it was but it would have still done crazy damage to Drake and culturally, Kendrick would have still won the battle. That he had to collude with UMG to push the song using illegal means to put an exclamation point on his win and exaggerate the impact of the song is what might eventually do both him and UMG in.

Yeah I mean I’m not a fan of Drake using the gf/wife method to attack but it is what it is. Drake and Kendrick really hate each other it’s not some make believe beef so it was always going to get deeply personal. If this happened in 2013-15 I think it would’ve been cleaner and more about rap ability than I’m trying to end your career.
