He’s just mad because his gotcha moment flopped and his reputation took permanent damage. He just didn’t approach the battle the way he should’ve at all.
Ive seen some Stan’s in this section go “Well maybe he just doesn’t respect Kenny at all and doesn’t take him seriously as an artist” and it’s like Ok sure you can project your personal taste into the situation, but that doesn’t change the fact the majority doesn’t feel that way and the approach should’ve been completely different.

But that's the only way this makes sense TO ME.
Because despite what people may say, Drake is a battle tested rapper. He's barred up with a ton of rappers, he's a rap nerd for christ sake. He's fully aware of the optics of this, so for him to go this route FOR ME suggest that they're lowballing him in contract renegotiations.

I refuse to believe he’s so embarrassed over the Kendrick L that he’s resorting to suing the label for defamation. He’s a rapper, he’s seen hundreds of rap battles I just refuse to believe he’s that insecure.
Yeah he lost to Kendrick, and that's accepted but no one cares this much man. The masses don't actually thinks Drake is a .PDF file or else financially the repercussions of that would have been felt and seen.
This has to be his way of getting his number in renegotiation it has to be. Otherwise this doesn't make any sense on any level.
It's obviously more to it but my assumption is, he was probably in the middle of negotiating already when like that popped off, and thought to "handle his business" before coming back to the negotiations table with a higher value after winning the beef.

yeah he used to be at url events and s*** he’s definitely familiar with how battle rap works. its definitely something going on we don’t know. i dont even think its about money atp just seems like a power play to feed his ego. “everyone who tried the label before me was too eccentric and wrote off as crazy”
