i really think we underestimate how influential drake is in rap

like he literally made rapping and singing a regular thing that completely changed the face of the genre fundamentally we dont even get rnb singers on hooks no more cause da rapper doin it

drake changed the way we release and listen to music, popularizing the commerical mixtape, surprise drops and streaming (all within like 2 years)

he also made rap become pop music, the list goes on and on bro admit it

even kendrick said drake inspired him to make section 80 after dropping SFG

Rappers were singing before Drake ever existed. Drake didn’t invent nor popularize that.

He made rap become pop music ??? Pop rap existed WAY before Drake what are we doing here? He just happened to be the most popular guy while rap was at its commercial peak, he definitely did not turn rap into pop.

His transition into and spearheading of streaming is probably his biggest overall influence, but I mean the industry was bound to head there anyway, Drake co-signing it just speeded things along

Do Drake stans really believe that he popularized rappers singing?

If that can be attributed to any blog era rapper, it’s Cudi

Drake’s biggest musical influential stamp is the dark R&B sound.

Him and 40 definitely revolutionized the sound of popular music with the way they approached mixing

    You mean for new clients?

Up until recently, but I talked to the OM recently and she told me we actually stopped expanding because of the number of centers we opened, and they are getting weird about overtime

    Your clinic is at capacity?
