he should have presented a criminal case if he wanted them to hand over evidence to defend themselves against the accusations
they are not obligated to help Drake prove his civil case
im not a lawyer but isnt discovery like, a pretty standard thing in civil trials?
they’ll just keep filing motion to stays, hope ya’ll are ready to still be talking about this in 2027 with no movement lmao
enjoy that “win” i guess

Idk that's not my area of expertise and I don't care enough to Google
All I know is one party tried to get it dismissed and the judge said nope ✋

dismissal hasnt been heard yet iirc, this is just umg trying to delay discovery which got denied

That's what I'm referencing
Why are they scared
i don’t think anyone is scared, it’s standard practice so they don’t have to waste time sitting in court. see you in 2027 lol

Oh now we gonna say the people who wanna draw court out aren't the ones scared lol
You got a solid 3 you think people should check out?
Saba x No ID is an absolute must for anybody who likes Hip-Hop I genuinely think Saba one of the greatest of our generation
Paris Texas (They Left Me with a Gun) if you're into rock I think this is an amazing take on fusing the two sounds. I'm a huge fan of them so might not be for you, but everybody I know who listened to it loves it. They dropped another EP too, they go together and tell a story, but if I have to pick one it's definitely Gun
Life is Beautiful (Larry June, 2 Chainz, and Alc) just high quality grown up rap. Not the biggest fan of Larry June or 2 Chainz but they balance each other out very well
Honorable mentions to Mick Jenkins who just went fully independent this year and dropped a great EP, and I heard some s*** he has this year and it's all incredible. Also Ghais Guevara who had his song on his new album open up Kendrick's Super Bowl performance
Oh now we gonna say the people who wanna draw court out aren't the ones scared lol
i have been waiting on a case since June 2023 and my lawyer has been filing extensions with the court until September 2025 upon which the case will likely be dropped
again, I don’t think anyone is scared lmfao. all this is gonna cause is pointless “expert” opinions about Kendrick’s contract splits whenever it’s eventually revealed (if it happens), but I guess ya’ll looking forward to that instead of moving on with music?

Your lawyer don't want you to end up in jail 🦦
Your lawyer don't want you to end up in jail 🦦
my lawyer laughed when I told him the case
he’s just waiting on the prosecution to give him a good deal for me or to drop the case. feel like it’s the same here, Drake tryna hold out for a settlement
salute lmao

Then why his lawyer literally talked about UMG fearing something 🤣 like y’all mission is to make W invisible and every L giant.

How would that ever be possible

because litigation is now entertainment, just look at your reaction to even being aware of that statement lol

each lawsuit update is better than the last season of severance

Drake is way too egotistical to settle this for anything less than his last ask from Universal... And we don't know what that is. He clearly wants the $ (more than the 400 million he got from them last) and to be let free from them to go elsewhere. This legal situation isn't ending any time soon and I just can't see him wasting his next solo project (which is probably his most important legacy wise) during a period of such uncertainty business wise. The $$$ album was a different situation and served a completely different purpose. That was him dipping his toes back in the pool post beef.

heard (it on a budden podcast it gotta be true) the finale was great tho
