He’s suing the label for allowing one of their artists to defame him
You’re saying every artist who got dissed on a song released by a major label has the right to sue that label
And if that’s the case, Do you think labels are gonna allow their artists to do something that could cause a potential lawsuit?
I've now - so it seems - wasted multiple posts explaining to you that the issue is HOW AND TO WHAT LENGTH HIS OWN LABEL *PUSHED the song. At no point did I say that a label allowing an artist to release a diss track means that another artist got legal ground to sue.

The only thing that matters are 1) can he prove that the song caused damage to his character and 2) can he prove that his own label participated in pushing the song and thereby directly contributed to the damage of his character

this is actually true legally. you can literally physically harass the other party, even straight up actively participate in the defaming material, and then still win on the claim they defamed you (see: Hulk Hogan v Gawker - not defamation but similar attributes). that being said, this also only works because Drake is suing UMG, not Drake suing Kendrick. The claim has nothing to innately do with the beef even if that seems counter-intuitive.

Someone doesn't understand the meaning of libel. It is entirely possible to release a song that isn't 100% factual and includes shots, lies etc. without being at risk of a defamation lawsuit.
