If the claims about Kendrick signing a short deal to see what UMG could do for him and they're guilty of the accusations, I could see them telling Drake they'll sue Kendrick to disincentivize Drake from taking legal action

I think it's too early to make sense of it for anyone not in a law profession or a hobbyist. I mean Drake said he had proof of the diss track stuff and honestly I'm burnt out on both these niggas music until this s*** gets solved

Could see UMG applying to have Kendrick joined to the suit, which wouldn't be a good look for Drake. Would make it look like he was scared to just sue Kendrick in the first place

He's not going to war against the system. He literally said his reason in those leaked texts. He feels UMG shouldn't have allowed the song to come out because he's been with them from the start.

He's not fighting the industry, he's not fighting for artists. None of these rappers care about the wellbeing of other artists. They only pretend to care until they get their deal sorted out. If they did they would've tried to unionize against the labels like Pimp C was saying way back then.
