You got a link to read about this? I don’t even know exactly what to google

Because if that’s true it’s automatic L for Drake

Look up "consenting to engage in defamation." There were moments in the beef where s*** could have been ended, but Drake kept going and even defamed the person who he is claiming defamed him. One could argue that this serves as a consent to engage in defamation and is a massive blow to his case.

    minclaw.com/legal-resource-center/what-is-defamation/consent-as-a-defense-to-defamation

“A person may give consent by words, actions or by certain behavior, including inaction. A statement of consent does not have to be directly spoken or communicated to another, and it does not have to be written down in order to be considered valid.

It is enough that the consent is understood by or seems apparent to the publisher as determined by reasonable people based on the conduct of the plaintiff and the circumstances surrounding the publication”

Yeah he might get cooked just based on this. I’m not a lawyer or anything but just based on common sense I’m not sure how Drake and his team would be able to say he didn’t consent to this

It needs to be said that it's extremely difficult to successfully sue someone for defamation. Otherwise, it would happen all the time. Hell, look at this website. But we all engage in this internet s*** and implicate ourselves

Nah but definitely bonded over Drake making perfect references cause if you watch that clip pressing that button was a bad move for the character

But ofc like Drake, you gotta bring up innocent women to attack in your statements who forgave their men, healed, and now have children with said men happily

It would make more sense to just straight up sue Kendrick for defamation but he’s suing the label for letting Kendrick do that

But also if the label says “you consented to the defamation” doesn’t that mean they’re admitting it was defamation?

Or would it not even matter because he consented to it?

    S***s confusing

Kendrick would just countersue Drake for calling him a woman beater based on nothing

There's not much he can do. But he can try (and fail)
