I think every hip hop fan expected Drake to move how he’s always moved after the height of the beef. Troll like a b**** online and throw subs on records referencing the beed with empty threats of any “get back”. Thats his brand.

Posting dumb s*** on IG is 10000% more “egging on” than Kendrick performing the songs on stage lmfaooo they’re just part of his catalog at this point

You’d have to be a dumbass (or a drake stan same thing) to think otherwise

to the masses yea but to drake and kendrick as individuals? lol imagine your opp parading his anthem about you being a pedophile on a tour w your ex fling

They don't even realize the part they play in his continued relevance. They can't ever shut up about the man.

Rough start to the Dot era.

You really are a f***ing idiot

This clown thinks a judge is keeping tabs on Drake's IG to see if he throws shade at Kendrick as that would lead to what, exactly?

Like Kendrick isn't still performing the same defamatory material every night. Man, if you don't get the f*** outta here. You sound dumb.

Show me one time Kendrick defamed Drake on stage. I'll wait

Failure is relative. Is Drake still massively popular? Absolutely. But are the two singles he’s dropped for his new solo albums arguably the biggest flop singles he’s ever released for an album in his entire career? Easily. Those songs came and went within the span of weeks.

The beef definitely affected his reputation whether you want to admit it or not. Nobody is claiming he’s irrelevant, but the hype for Iceman is significantly lower than the hype was for any previous Drake studio album.

And that’s not even mentioning this lawsuit which has pretty much made him the laughingstock of hip-hop

If we’re being real most of the hype for ice man is tied around to how he’s gonna bounce back from the beef or if he’ll address Kendrick again

For real. For as much as Drake fans want to claim that Kendrick is using Drake’s name for musical relevance, Drake has been doing the exact same thing but in reverse for the past year

Trust me, I only throw personal shots after they're thrown at me. I'm all for civil discussion and clowning niggas lol

I don't personally look at music line for line and compare. As far as sonics, subject matter, and sticking to a theme I think Family Matters out does every dying released in the beef. I think you can have the best song in a beef and still lose in the public's perception, just like Takeover

The 2nd is Euphoria imo and could've been first but I'm not rocking with double-mindedness of that record. Saying we don't have to get personal after getting personal, claiming they're friends then not, random diaspora war, and bringing the "culture" and the West Coast into the battle to garner support were some things I didn't like from that song

I actually agree with the negative points you highlighted about Euphoria. I actually don’t even think it’s a good diss song. Yes it’s prophetic in its nature and has some funny jabs that rival anything said by Drake but it’s not easy to listen to.

However First, you say that the releases in the beef are dying when it is out streamed by MTG is confusing what metric are you using to say every other song is dying yet FM is surviving?

Second, saying FM is sonically better than one of the most memorable catchiest and ear worm songs in rap history in NLU is odd. What measurement are you using for sonics? Is it the beat or flows?

Third, you say you like the subject matter of FM. How does that make one a better song in your opinion?

Lastly you highlight FM as being good at sticking to a theme, when that was one of its biggest critiques. He has a whole second verse Not even directed at the target, Kendrick’s disses do a much better job at this very thing.

I haven't made any references to streaming lol

That was a typo, I'm just saying FM is the best song that came from the beef

Second, saying FM is sonically better than one of the most memorable catchiest and ear worm songs in rap history in NLU is odd. What measurement are you using for sonics? Is it the beat or flows?

I think it's a better sounding song, that includes both flow and beat. Personally, I don't believe Kendrick to be close to Drake sonically most times. I barely believe that's a critical point for Kendrick

Like obviously Kendrick is a better lyricist than Drake but songs like Euphoria, which I love, I remember it more because I'm making fun of his rap voice

Third, you say you like the subject matter of FM. How does that make one a better song in your opinion?

Cohesion, I think FM stayed on a path of destruction as opposed to lending time to many different ideologies. It wasn't no teachable moments, it was strictly disdain and I heard more about their personal issue from Drake than Kendrick

Lastly you highlight FM as being good at sticking to a theme, when that was one of its biggest critiques. He has a whole second verse Not even directed at the target, Kendrick’s disses do a much better job at this very thing.

Well that's not true, Drake always had multiple targets.

I disagree with your Kendrick part, and that refers to my apathy towards the topics Kendrick decided to rap about. Diaspora War, the whole third verse on NLU, and I've never been a fan of MTG I think that record was a waste of breath
