Because the difference is vast and considerable. Drake has 3 albums that have sold over 10 units, as well as NWTS which has sold almost 9M units, Thank Me Later, which has sold almost 8M units and then projects like CLB, More Life & IYRTITL which have each sold over 5M units.
Basically, Drake has sold over 80M album units in the US, while Kendrick Lamar has sold 30M album units in the US. That's a massive gap, no?
Garth Brooks has sold over 157M album units in the US, does he have more classics than Drake?

LaSeanDrake also has triple the amount of albums out compared to K.Dot and Dot is a conscious rapper putting up those numbers while Drake makes more mainstream radio friendly music.
All I see are excuses.
Drake has 16 projects available on streaming, Kendrick has 8, yet, Drake has done almost 3 times the numbers Kendrick has. If it was all about the number of albums then Future should have outsold Drake or even sold close to him. That man has 25 projects available on streaming.
When Kendrick is putting up monster numbers, y'all don't call him a conscious rapper but when it's time to compare all-time stats, y'all bring up this s***.
The only Kendrick album I'd count as conscious is TPAB. Every other album has been a straight up mainstream album, each with a handful of tracked aimed at appealing to the masses so miss me with this narrative.
