I’ll be real I think this was the worst thing to ever happen to hip hop and if it ever gets to the point the culture dies, we can kinda pinpoint this battle to being the fall of everything
Like I’m being dead serious I had a paper written on this called “African American morality wars: Formally known as Rap Beef” where I basically said this beef is record execs not only putting the two best black artists of our time against each other, but also dividing the AA community because those two rappers represent two sides of the black community. I’ll probably just make it a thread but it’s insane how much this has set us back as a community like idk brah online discussion is completely cooked and music has turned into a literal war with niggas picking sides. Even situations like the metro album is being affected by the beef is just annoying. There is an alternate timeline where Drake Dot and Cole made FPS and trump lost and Anthony Edwards beat the thunder and won his first chip but my friend, we are in the darkest timeline.
"set back the community" brother it really hasnt
besides niggas on twitter and online in general.
People irl have moved on or are laughing at the highlights.

nah after the beef hearing Drake saying "your pants might rip" incited me to commit an armed robbery while selling fenty laced d**** at the same time.

I don’t think he’s inherently wrong though. I mean, hip hop has grown significantly through the internet and exists here prominently. Certainly the aftershocks that have occurred online make a direct impact on the culture.
A child can be molested without it being explicit child p***. But I could be wrong on that, maybe some freaks are somehow getting off from that gif/video— I’m no expert.
In my eyes that video is damning proof of Drakes lack of boundaries, lack of consent, and acknowledgment of his predatory behavior— even when in company of a child. He molested her.
I would honestly prefer to never seen that video again I think you made your point to the people who aren’t in denial

Discourse is a huge part of the culture. It’s been in the gutter ever since this beef has expired. That’s what I’m speaking to

yea but in respect to the beef alls that happened is new fans and opportunist are just chirping the same s*** about sales and not liking certain projects for dumb ass reasons.
Truly a thing that most people in the "culture" are ignoring or clowning.
Painting this as a separation of the black community is just asinine like we dont got bigger s*** to worry about.
